Initial Consultation: After an agreement to produce the site is reached, we will schedule a meeting to discuss your input on the site and to obtain any existing artwork you may have. We would also obtain text copy for the site if the client is providing this. At this time we will discuss colors with you. Do you have existing colors? We will discuss styles. Bold? Subtle? etc. We will discuss the use of photographs. Some clients have many ideas about what they want; others want to leave it up to us. We are happy to proceed through the creative process with as much or as little input as the client wishes to contribute. Building Your Site:The process of building your web site begins with the choosing of colors and the page layout. For the initial page layouts we may be using some temp graphics just to get ideas of spacing. It is helpful to have the colors and the layout mostly settled before getting into more detail on the site. The site will look very plain at this point. Do not fret. From there we go to getting the graphics in place. Once the main graphics are in place we have created the template to be used for all pages. Then the bodies of the individual pages pages are added. On this page the body is the area you are reading from right now. Lastly comes the final touches to add a little spice. Once the site has your approval we will post it online and submit it to Google, Yahoo etc. Web Hosting:Web Hosting at it's most basic is providing a physical space on a server computer's hard disk for your web site. It can also mean providing capabilities for gathering information about your site's traffic or providing access to a database etc. You can set up your own web hosting account with any of the many hosting vendors out there or we would be glad to host your account. We host our clients' sites with Godaddy.com and charge nothing to handle the account. There is a one time fee to set up the account. 100 email accounts come with the hosting account.
