New Sites:
For most web sites there will be a $300 charge for creating the homepage. This covers the cost of conceptualization and creating the design template to be used throughout the site as well as a finished homepage. Each additional page will run from $30 to $120 depending on amount of content and number of new graphics needed. This is based on a charge of $30 per hour. This does not include writing text for the site. In most cases the client supplies the text. If you need someone to write we may be able to do it at $30.00/hour.
E-Commerce and Database:
Web sites that utilize e-commerce or databases are billed at $40/hour for the hours spent on these functions. The rest of the site building hours are billed at the normal rate.
Site Maintenance:
Maintenance on an existing site is billed at $30/hour, $40/hour for e-commerce. Non-profits are billed at $25/hour. Estimates can be given on most jobs. Payment will be due at the completion of the job in most cases.
Domain Name Registration / Web Hosting / Email:We charge a set-up fee of $40.00 for domain name registration* account, hosting account and email accounts. $30.00 if you already have your name registered. You can also set up these accounts yourself if you prefer. Additionally there is an annual domain name registration fee currently at $18.00/year (our cost) including privacy protection if we handle this for you. For the hosting** of your site we use Godaddy.com. They currently charge $4.99/month auto billing. If we handle the billing for the account we charge nothing but the godaddy charge and ask for 6 months at a time. 100 email accounts come with the hosting account. * You must register a domain name to use a .com, .net, .org etc. ** You must put your site on a server computer to be available on the net. This is called hosting.
Additional Costs:
There could be other costs including licensing fees on photos or the cost of a photographer. It is possible you may want a logo or complex graphics that are beyond our in-house capabilities. In this case there would be the cost of having a graphic artist do some of the work. Currently all graphics on our sites are made in-house except most of the logos. As stated above, the cost of writing text for the site is extra and charged at $30.00/hour.
